Jean Feldstein Volunteer of the Year Award
Each year at its annual meeting, Jewish Family Service of Lancaster proudly presents the Jean Feldstein Volunteer of the Year Award to a community member who exemplifies the spirit of selfless service. Named in memory of the late Jean Feldstein—a tireless advocate and compassionate volunteer—this award honors individuals or families whose ongoing dedication uplifts both the Jewish community and the Lancaster community at large. This year, we are thrilled to recognize Alice Yerman, whose generous heart and unwavering commitment to others embody the values that Jean Feldstein held dear. |

Rhea and Phil Starr Social Justice Award
The Rhea and Phil Starr Social Justice Award is presented at the discretion of the JFS Board of Directors to an individual or group whose actions reflect an enduring commitment to justice, equity, and service to the underserved. Named in honor of Rhea and the late Phil Starr, who dedicated their lives to championing the rights of the marginalized, this award celebrates those who speak up, step in, and create lasting change. This year, we are honored to present this award to Spanish American Civic Association for Equality, Inc. Chief Human Services Officer Sandra Valdez, whose leadership and advocacy continue to be a powerful force for equity and inclusion in our community. |
